jallen109 Posted July 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Hello, I am cruising on the Carnival Valor on July 24th. I was hoping to get some insight on the best snorkeling and stingray excursion that they offer. There are so many and we really want to pick the best one. Can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks, Jaime

I was hoping to get some insight on the best snorkeling and stingray excursion that they offer. There are so many and we really want to pick the best one. Can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks, Jaime I don't know if it's the best but last June we booked with Captain Marvin. It was reasonable and not too crowded. We saw some that were just packed with people. Whoever you book with you will enjoy it. It's quite an awesome experience.

Island2Girl Posted July 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2011 We just got back this week. I can't believe that exactly one week ago we were feeding the stingrays and snorkeling the most beautiful coral. I can whole heartedly recommend Native Ways Watersports for your Grand Cayman adventures. We booked with them and it was magic. We were met at the doc by Eldin(SP) and taken to the marina where Captain Tom, Andrew and TJ were waiting to take us on our adventure. They took our lunch order before we took off so it would be waiting for us at Rum Point when we arrived. We spent alot of time at Stingray City, Snorkeled a coral reef with amazing fish, and spent a good amount of time at Rum Point Beach. Oh and they did all of this for our group of 5. That's right 5 on the boat. Well the tour is worth a whole review, but it was well worth it and I would highly recommend them.
Litewait Posted July 1, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Native Ways~ RR&R. One of the best excursions offered.
txladydi Posted July 1, 2011 #6 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Have done the half day and "full day" excursions with Captain Marvins. Totally loved it and the staff at Captain Marvins. The ship excursion is always way too large, go with an independent. Kiss a stingray for 7 years good luck!! It's amazing, you will be ready to go again! Irishlinny Posted July 1, 2011 #7 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Last time we used Moby Dick...they were great! The time before that we used Nativeway and they were fine, but we just liked the personalities on Moby Dick a little better. All the boats go to the same area, so even if your boat isn't crowded, it can get crowded out there;) It's a great trip!

CruiseTeacher7 Posted July 1, 2011 #15 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Another vote for Nativeways. They must us @ the dock. Took us by mini bus to the boat. It was a nice ride out. Not too crowded. Stingray city can get crowded though, but it was a good time. The other reef that we went to was okay (if you stop @ Roatan they have the best reefs). Rum point was nice and relaxing. Overall a great excursion. I do remember some of the long lines for the other ships that were in port, for people waiting to get on the tender.
