I just caught a glimpse of a presser about some big international conference that Obama is hosting in Honolulu....

.not sure of the dates - but if you are planning to stay there before or after the cruise - and have not booked your hotel rooms

(or even if you have, beware of "overbooking")

You better hop to it....just saying:rolleyes:

I said Sept/Oct - - it is actually in November

SORRY

I read this post and got a cold chill.

The Asian Pacific Economic Conference is meeting in Honolulu Nov 8 thru Nov 13, 2011.

The POA will be back in port on Nov 12 right in the midst of it all.

Fortunately we're on the Nov 19 sailing. Was getting kind of worried about my pre & post cruise hotel arrangements.

I have heard of these economic conferences happening and hotels moving guests to less desirable alternate accomodations and rental cars becoming unavailable.

Hopefully those disembarking from the POA are not inconvienced too bad.
