Yes it is, just got it this past week.

I am so excited to hear this! I have the Live the Oasis book but we never had time to go get all the answers. I'll get this one at my first opportunity in Sept/Oct. Did they have any activities surrounding the book?

Sorry I am unaware of any. It was given to us as part of our wedding gift from the cruise director and other staff.

I love this thread! However for the second formal night I read that it's Friday night. On another thread I read that its Thursday night (could be an old thread?) Usually the second formal night is the lobster night, or Fisherman's plate...right? With the new menu the Fisherman's plate is on Thursday night. So now I'm confused. Is the second formal night Friday with the surf and turf? icon5.gif

might be the difference between Eastern & Western itin, Eastern being Friday and Western being Thurs, but that's just a guess on my part

I'm wondering if they are still doing the flash mob. My wife loved it back in 2011, but I anticipate it being phased out as a trendy thing, but I guess if they keep getting a lot of participation they will keep it up.

· Cigar bar/outside area on Deck 17 above Solarium Bar (very windy). Sign says Gold Seapass Cards only, but cigar smokers are allowed to enter the area.

This really a "secret deck". It is actually not on the deck plans. If you look closely, you will see a depiction of a stairway on Deck 16, but no Deck 17 plan other than the aft section. We stumbled upon it on the Oasis last year. We were wandering around and saw the Gold Seapass sign (and of course ignored it). We went up and found a bar, cigar humidor and no one else! Except for a great bartender who begged us to come back because he was lonely. So armed with our Cubans from St. Maarten, we spent the last half of the cruise up there with him. It is truly a great find!

You guys are going to think I'm insane, but I've been waiting until I could verify all of my info. to post this and I think now is a good time.

So, I am attaching a "schedule" I made for the cruise my fiance and I are going on for our honeymoon. But please keep in mind that (a) I am OCD so don't make fun of me and (b) I custom tailored this to our interests (i.e. the entire row for the drink specials and casino :D)

Let me know if you have any questions! Hope this helps someone!

I don't think you're insane, you just saved me a lot of time. Thank you so much!!!;)

There is one thing that I noticed you missed in the Drink section, they have a drink of the day everyday. It is served on a different bar every day and usually go for $6.25 and include a souvenir glass.

Also by eating in the windjammer on the second formal night you miss lobster night in the MDR.

Do you by any chance have the excel file format?

I'm glad it could be of some use to someone other than myself!

Yes, I didn't include the Drink of the Day because those are normally prominently featured in the Cruise Compasses - the other specials I kind of had to dig for.

Also, yes I understand that we are missing lobster night, but my fiance said he could only stand ONE formal night...so I chose the night they are having the Captain's Reception for (what else?) the free champagne! Haha.

Again, it's definitely tailored to our situation/tastes, so everyone is free to take it and mold it to theirs!

Excel file attached.

ok I get, it. You and your husband are very much like me, looking for all the cheap alcohol on board. lol

I had no idea about the free champagne on first formal night. Where did you find that information? I guess now I will have to add that to my schedule, I had planned 150 for that night.

Thanks for the excel format. there a few things that I have to change on it.

One more thing in the "Spa Tours w/ Free Raffle Entry" what exactly is it?

And I have to say it looks like you did a great job!

I do wonder if the drink special martini hours tend to change from sailing to sailing... Martinis are my drinks! :)

I gathered the "Free Champagne" info. from reviews here on CC as well as a few different Cruise Compasses that seemed to all indicate it being true. I don't know if I'd change my plans though, it might only be available for a certain amount of time or only available to a certain amount of people. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm sure enough to try! ;)

The Spa Tours w/ Free Raffle Entry is exactly that. If you visit the spa on the first day (Embarkation Day), they will give you a tour (along with a sales pitch) and if you can endure it, they will let you enter a free raffle for a bunch of goodies! I did this on my last cruise and won a free 60 minute massage on the beach!

As for the Martinis, the hours might shift a bit, but they are always going to be in that prime time slot (right when people are getting ready for/having dinner because they don't want TOO many people showing up for 20% off, haha!). The times on my sheet are from the most recent Cruise Compasses I could find for the western sailing (July/August, I believe).

Thanks again for the compliments. I spent a long time on this, and I hope my soon-to-be-husband appreciates how smooth everything will run thanks to my efforts! Haha! :D

I have a free massage from my TA, I wonder if I visit the spa to make my appointment for the free massage, I can also do the tour and enter the raffle. Ill give it a try. When do they do the raffle? and do I have to be there for the drawing?

I imagine the champagne is just one glass. Ill give that some thought, although after all free is free.

And I am sure your Fiance will appreciate it. That is a lot of research and work.

2 for 1 on Champagne Cocktails

I have a question about the 2 for 1 cocktails. Can DH and I order the 2 for 1 and share the promotion - 1 drink each and pay for one, or do we each have to order a cocktail, thus having 4 drinks between us?

The raffle is free to everyone who visits, whether you're already making an appointment or not! I would def. go for it! And I would ask them about having to be present for the drawing. I did NOT have to be present when I won (they called me to let me know!), but it might be different on Allure with so many passengers.

I read a few more reviews of the Captain's Reception and most people do say free champagne is available (some say there is an option for free champagne or drink of the day), so it may be worth a try if you can fit it in!

I am sure you can share the promotion. To be safe, why don't you both walk into the bar and grab a table, and then have your DH go up and order the 2 for 1 and bring the extra over to you! I'm sure they won't be THAT picky.

As a general disclaimer though, the cruise ship does NOT want to have to honor drink specials, so if you go expecting one, make sure you bring the Cruise Compass from that day with the drink special (and corresponding time) highlighted as proof. Even then, some say that some bartenders still won't honor it if it's a slow night. Always good to give it a try though! I (alone) racked up a $250 bar tab on a 3 DAY cruise! :D

Cool, thanks. I will deff add it to the schedule, I also note that the menu on that day had seabass (my favorite), but I am aware they are changing the menus. So who know.

Well as far as not honoring something advertised, well there is always a way of getting things. I am sure after a little chat with customer service, Ill get more than the free drink ;).

$250 in 3 days :eek::eek:, you beat me there, I believe mine was $140 but I was not drinking to my full potential :(. I created a budget for this and I have to stick to it. It is 7 days after all. I am going to use the wine package in all 3 of the specialty restaurants, 150, chops and giovanies (wrong spelling I know, lol).

I know! I'm embarrassed! To be fair...I had JUST turned 21, so I went a little overboard. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a time I wasn't drinking...except when I was dealing with the effects of drinking. Haha!

We're not AS worried about budget, because it's going to be our honeymoon and all, but I definitely wanted to be smarter about this cruise. Hence the OCD schedule!

Another tip I've heard (since we're on the topic of drinking), is if you tend to order a "complicated" drink (say, a Washington Apple or a Royal Flush), there is a chance that each bartender will ring it up differently. So make sure you pay attention in case one bartender tries to charge you more than another. You can check (print?) your bill at one of the kiosks around the ship and keep it with you as proof or just mention it to the bartender and maybe he won't care enough to argue. Just something to be aware of! I paid $6 for a mixed drink one night at a club and $12 for the SAME DRINK the next night in the Viking Crown.

yeah a similar situation happened to me, ill keep that in mind.

I have a couple of questions, what are you going to do in Falmouth and Cozumel. I know you're snorkelingin Cozumel, but where?

Falmouth is going to be our "take a break" port. We didn't want to be running around like chickens with our heads cut off every day of our honeymoon so we are just going to take that day to relax - we plan to get off the boat and take a short trolley tour of Falmouth (available at the gate of the port for ~$10-$15 per person) and then come back and grab some jerk chicken and red stripe at the port before boarding to enjoy the (hopefully) empty ship!

For Cozumel, I researched this a lot and found that this is the best port for snorkeling (in most CCers opinions), so I booked a 3 reef snorkel with Eagle Ray Divers. I thought about going with a ship snorkel, but many CCers have said that ship snorkels are crowded (~100 people per group ) and you go to the less "exciting" reefs and get less information about what you are actually seeing because there are just so many people! Eagle Ray Divers takes out 10-15 people max and chooses the reefs to take you to based on popular vote, the weather and the activity of the reef! Snacks and drinks (including alcohol) are included as well as lunch at a very nice restaurant on the beach called The Money Bar. Total is $65 per person, a GREAT deal in my opinion. The couple who owns Eagle Ray Divers is so professional! I can't wait to meet them and go on my *first* real snorkeling experience! BTW, you also get back from the snorkel in plenty of time to still shop in downtown Cozumel.

Have you thought about what you want to do at the ports?

Well I am traveling with mom, so the activities that I want to do are limited by her. She is a beach lover and I am well not so much, but I do love to snorkel and active activities. I dont want to take her on a small boat where she might get sick while I snorkel. Plus she is a great mom! and she is dealing with some very hard times right now, my granny is getting old and mom had to move to our home country to take care of her. So she deserves to go the beach as much as possible and more.

For Falmouth, we are going to chukka beach but only the $30 one, we will bring our snacks. I wanted to go the waterfalls, but I dont want to spend all that time in a bus and be tied to schedule. Plus she will not enjoy it as much as the beach, there is a lot of stairs and such.

In Cozumel I am thinking Chankanaab park, that way I get my snorkel time and she gets her beach time. I was also thinking about an all inclusive resort, so i can maybe enjoy the pool and free drinks, while she enjoys the beach, any advise there? After that she wants to go downtown for some sightseeing, I figure that would a nice touch to end the day.

On more question, sorry I just noticed this. What is martini madness in your casino section?

BTW, I like your style, mind sharing maybe an AIM or FB account? the forum does not allow to send private mesages.

Oh, that is so nice you are hanging out with your mom on this cruise! From what you said, I agree - she deserves some beach time (which she will get a lot of in Labadee, BTW!).

I was going to say Chukka would be perfect for you, so I'm glad you beat me to it! It's a short ride (also one of the reasons we chose not to do anything at this port - too long to get anywhere!) and most reviews have been quite positive!

As for Cozumel, give me a few. I know I saw something somewhere about an all-inclusive...or if someone else wants to chime in?

And, my FB is www dot facebook dot com forward slash mkstancil (They make us write it that way! Hopefully it's not confusing!) Don't be afraid if I look really young on my FB profile...it's cause I am! :D Haha! Feel free to friend request me and I'll accept and we can take this chat there. Sorry other CCers for hiijacking this thread!

F.Y.I. I called Royal today to find out what day the Behind the scenes tour is on the Allure. Ron, the person I spoke to just kept reading information from the website.

I heard it was on the 6th day that would be Cozumel for the Western route. Then I heard it was on the last sea day.

He could not help me out.:mad:
