Scuba beginner

In Mexico they are offering a beginner non certified scuba excursion. One of my dreams has been to scuba dive.

Has anyone done this before? Is it worth it? What if I wear glasses? Can I still do it?

It sounds like your are asking about a Discover Scuba Class. Many divers including myself started out this way. It is a wonderful orientation to scuba and very safe if taught by a quality instructor. You won't go any deeper than 20 to 25 feet (well at least you should not) for about a 30 minute dive.

One word of warning: SCUBA is very addictive !!!! I have got to get my nitrogen fix every weekend during the warmer months. You should also plan on being constantly broke due to buying dive gear.

And the glasses?

I enjoyed snorkeling before I tried scuba and purchased a mask to the prescription of my glasses online for about $85. It is not exact to my scrip but very close. You might google that and you will get a very popular shop (Mart) that sells them. Have fun.:D
