Departure tax??

I was ready a post from 2005 (!!)...didn't realize till things started not making sense :o, but he mentioned a $30 departure tax pp that had to be paid in cash at SXM. Since I couldn't find it mentioned anywhere else, I thought I would ask. Thanks, Jan

There is an island departure tax, mostly associated with individuals fluing off the island, but the fee is now usually included in the airfare ticketed charges.

 

What is your specific concern?

Thanks, Gary. No concern, really. Looking forward to our first "land" trip in awhile. We ususally come in on a cruise ship, but we have 8 days to explore in august.

Obviously, that should be 'flying'.
