Sun Trolly Questions

Staying at the Embassy Suites in Ft. Lauderdale and the website says they are near a Sun Trolly stop. Does the trolly stop on/near Las Olas Blvd (thinking we might go look around over there).

 

Also, what suggestions do you have for dinner in the hotel area?

You can take the trolley to Las Olas Blvd, but will have to transfer to another trolley to ride the 2 miles downtown from Las Olas at the beach.

 

There are so many places to eat near ES. Some traveler favorites are Chuck's Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Bravo Italiano, and Kelly's Landing. I like Bimini Boatyard, Coco Asian Bistro, Market 17, Duffy's Sports Bar & Grill, and Taza Mediterranian. The cafes on Las Olas are a bit more interesting.

Go to the Sun Trolly Fort Lauderdale Fl web site. They have PDF route map you can printout.

 

There are two routes. Red and Blue.

 

One note about the Sun Trolley. It will not stop if you do not wave at the driver to flag it down. Even if it at a spot that the map designates as a Trolley stop. And, if you see the Trolley coming, wave at the driver even if it is not a marked stop.
