Pumbaamd Posted March 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2005 I just got off the phone with RCL customer service. I wanted to change cabin assignment to get a larger balcony, after seeing a larger one on the bump become available. The whole process took maybe 3-4 minutes and the gentleman was very efficient and pleasant. I immediately checked the RCL site and the change was in there, as it was on Travelocity's deck plans. Very efficient!
KamloopsCruisers Posted March 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2005 What a pleasant change to read a positive experience about RCCL customer service. Too often posters only post the "bad stuff". Thanks for sharing.
savvyria Posted March 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2005 I too had a good experience when RCCL let me change assignments to get cabins together without bothering the TA. I am wondering if you called the guest specialist number instead of the main one? I seem to get solid answers from them at the 866 number then the 800 number... Pumbaamd Posted March 22, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted March 22, 2005 I called 800-327-6700. It's the number we got when we booked on board in January.
ckrobyn Posted March 22, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2005 I've had good experiences with RCI when I call them....except for last night :( I wanted to switch cabins, from a JS to a GS and I was calling to see if the GS I wanted was still available ( it wasn't showing up on the RCI website). The person I got at RCI said that because I booked with a TA she couldn't make the change for me...which I understood and had no problem with, BUT I still wanted her just to let me know IF that particular GS was still available? If it wasn't, then I wouldn't bother calling my TA in the morning. Her reply to me was, and I quote " I don't see why you have to know NOW, your cruise is still a year away" Needless to say, I was not impressed with her answer. I would think that RCI should encourage their passengers to upgrade.....
nurseone Posted March 22, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 22, 2005 Had to call regarding a mix up on excursion reservations - no waiting answered my call immediately - great to deal with and took care of everything immediately and sent me email confirmation. Good customer service on my end.
