Black Falcon Boston question

My friends are dropping me off at the pier, can they come in and keep me company in the check-in line or is security right at the door as you walk in? If security is right there, then they'll just drop me off instead of parking the car and coming in.

It's been a while since I was there, but most cruise terminals have security screening at the door leading into the check-in area now. There may be a line outside that they can wait in with you, but they will also very likely have to pay to park the car as well, so it might not be worth it.

There was security right at the door and only ticketed passengers could go through when I went to Black Falcon last in 2009. Also, you friends would need to park the car in the garage which would cost some $ but I am not sure what the hourly rate is.
