Getting Alcohol on Holland America

I am cruising on the westerdam and everyone says to just put the bottles in my checked bags. What I was wondering is this the best way or are there others?We have a large group so we want a few bottles in our room for before dinner. Any idea's? Thanks for the input.

If you mean wine, you can just carry it aboard. If you mean spirits then bubble wrap them really good and put in zip locks in your checked bags. Or you can purchaseit through HAL and have it delivered to you state room with nuts and some mixer.

Thanks, I was going to order them but when they e-mailed me the price list I figured I better bring a couple of bottles(spirits). I'll probably end up ordering some to we have about 10 in party so it will go fast.:cool:
