For those with access to USAA's benefits...

I read here on this board to check with the folks that insure my home/auto and the gentleman also mentioned that he used USAA for his travel insurance.

I AM SO HAPPY TO REPORT.....

I checked USAA that very moment online and easily located the travel insurance. I was SHOCKED at how affordable it was! Also, they cover any minors traveling with the insured for FREE......

My Dad and Stepmom asked me to check to see if they could also be on that policy and.... yes! you can add as many as you want as long as the primary insured is traveling the same dates/places as the others on the policy!!!!

Carnival wanted to charge us $250 for five people (2 are minor children) and with USAA I paid $98!!!!

USAA has great benefits and options to add for a great price.

Just wanted to share.

I agree. We only got insurance for 1 of our cruises. It was planned for after he returned from Iraq and we weren't POSITIVE that he'd really get to go. We paid less than 1/2 of what it would have cost through Carnival and it covered more. Like if his leave was revoked USAA would cover it and Carnival wouldn't.
