dress code Celebrity Silhouette v RCI Brilliance

Recommended Posts

I am considering a cruise on Celebrity's Silhouette next year. I have been on several RCI ships and I have felt comfortable in my dress code at formal nights and casual nights. What I am wondering is that because Celebrity is classed as a 5* Ship and RCI a 4* ship what would the difference be regarding dress code and any other comparisons you can think of apart from the obvious like the on deck and the rock climbing wall and flow rider as we are a bit past these activities now. What I am really getting at is the Celebrity line much more posh than Royal Caribbean. Open to discussion. Thanks for all opinions good or bad.

We sailed the Eclipse to the Baltic and the Brilliance in the Med and there were more people dressed up on Brilliance. There was hardly anyone in the dining room without a suit or Tux.

I loved our Celebrity cruises but they were much more sedate then RCI. Less organised activities and overall an older demographic. Things seemed to shut down well before midnight. I guess it's a little more up market but I wouldn't call it posh.

If you like being on the go all the time while onboard and doing all the planned activities, you may not enjoy Celebrity. We enjoy what both lines have to offer.

from what I remember yes there were a number of table for twos.

I agree with the pp. the entertainment ended well before midnight. things pretty much died down by 11ish. the casino was quiet.

I do love their aqua suites and took advantage of the Persian garden every day.
