Nightlife: Land or Ship?

For those of you who have cruised or plan to cruise to Bermuda I'm interested in knowing what you do for nightly entertainment. Do most of you stay on the ship for the shows, bars, clubs, etc or do you venture out explore Bermuda's nightlife?

We went into Hamilton for Harbor NIghts and ended up finding a great bar with air conditoning and great drinks (Pickled Onion) .. live music at 9:00 and lots of locals (always a good sign).. Also a great Irish pub nearby but way way too crowded and with music from Harbor Nights, too loud. If we had been docked in Hamilton we probably would have gone "pub crawling" one night but ended up back on ship last evening for deck party.
