Venice cruises around August 27...

There seem to be a lot of cruises sailing from Venice around the 27th of August that are very inexpensive. Is something going on there? Are people's vacations ending? Just wondering...

Well, it is really the end of summer vacation for Americans, so kids are going back to school; therefore, parents have a harder time getting away for a European vacation. It is similar in April and early May.

That makes sense. It might be the same in Europe as well...

I may have to book one... I am watching the airline prices... they sometimes go down on Thursday or Friday...

With hire of apartments (in Rome) August is listed as low season. I think it most be because of the very hot weather then. Rate in September is listed as high season nowadays:(

You got me excited for a moment, but then I checked, and our cabin is the same price that we paid in January. When we booked it the price was significantly cheaper than the price for the same time the following year. Maybe January is a good time to book for a summer European cruise, or maybe we just got lucky.
