Playa Bonita

The last time I was in Cozumel was 6 years ago. We rented a car and drove across the island and down the eastern side. We stopped at a beach named Playa Bonita and had a wonderful time. Our group were the only ones there and had great cold Coronas and the best seafood salad.

 

We will be in Cozumel in early June and will again be renting a car. We want to go back to Playa Bonita but I don't see it on most of the current maps and no one talks about it. Has it changed names? Is it still a nice quiet beach?

It is still there just not much beach area left after Ivan last year. You will find several alternatives though.

Haven't been in a little bit but have rode by and PB is exactly that, 'Playa Bonita!'

Stop by, say hola to 'Carlos' and enjoy a nice beach walk! Have some ceviche too!!!

Yesterday just about one kilometer from Playa Bonita on the east side, the Mexican Navy picked up this 30 kilogram (66 pounds) of marijuana.

 

 

They need to quit blaming the cruise ships for all the east side trash that washes up on the beaches.
