Summit on Dec. 31, 2011

We just booked this cruise! So excited as it's our first Holiday cruise. Our last cruise was on the Millennium, so was just wondering what to expect in terms of the ship? Aren't the Summit and Millennium sister ships?

 

And, is anyone on this cruise? I posted in the roll call but so far it only seems to be 2 or 3 people. Just wondered if anyone is going on this cruise!

Yes, the Summit is the 3rd of the 4 Millennium class ships, the others being the Millennium, Infinity and Constellation.

We sailed on the Summit back in 2002 and found her to have an understated elegance which we really enjoyed. The crew and food were very good, and of course the ship was new so maintenance was not an issue. That's all I can really offer as my experience is almost a decade old.

 

The ship is undergoing a renovation in January 2012 to add some of the new Solstice class features, so that will no doubt change the feel of the ship somewhat.
