Cruise4Music Posted August 3, 2011 #27 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Yes...I am on vacation as well, and I just do not appreciate people that bend the rules and show up in the MDR in what they wore to bed the previous night, whether it be flannels or the moomoos that were previously mentioned. Nobody is dressed that way in IHOP or Perkins on a Sunday morning, so out of respect for other passengers, I don't think it's too much to ask people to at least change their clothes before they come into the MDR. Can't have a vacation without lots and lots of rules. Never noticed anything like this and really don't understand why it should upset me. IMHO I think CC people can get upset over just about anything.
sammione Posted August 3, 2011 #28 Share Posted August 3, 2011 My wife and I are on the same cruise to Hawaii (12/2/2011). :) We are looking to become friends with some of our fellow shipmates before we cruise. Hopefully all 4 of us can meet in person or online. Hawaii is going to be fun!

I can't imagine any acceptable excuse for wearing night cloths in any public venue.
near the beach Posted August 3, 2011 #30 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Ware whatever you want on the lido deck. In the main dining room it is a different story. I was refused admission to the main dining room for breakfast because I was wearing a tank top.
Room Service! Posted August 3, 2011 #31 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Pajamas don't belong out in public, let alone in a dining area (breakfast, lunch, or dinner).
BaconIsGood Posted August 3, 2011 #32 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Dont'cha love it when the guy in the tank top does the long reach across a table for eight for the butter? And this is why we request a private table. Ill leave meeting new folks to the bars and Casino. :)

If you don't see a thread, start one yourself. If you get 20 people, you can even start a Carnival set-up Meet & Greet with an open bar.

gdisney Posted August 3, 2011 #35 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Love how breakfast and lunch anything goes and is accepted, then dinner rolls along and somehow some magical transformation takes place and everyone needs to be dressed as if your eating in some fancy restaurant as opposed to Red Lobster. Yes, it adds a little class to the whole affair. I for one like it. :)
FrogQueenFL Posted August 3, 2011 #36 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Sounds like some fun cruisers. I'll bet you turn up your nose to those nasty inside cabin folks on the Riviera deck. Hey now, us Riviera folks are people too!! LOL :p (At least I have an ocean view I guess)

I do not believe that she implied that she was "cool with a white trash breakfast and lunch". But, you did infer it, and everyone is entitled to their inferences. Next the women will be wearing rollers in their hair with their pajamas on . I see that in Walmart. Guess I will skip breakfast and head over to the casino instead :).
