Port Day in St. Thomas - Question

Hi Everyone! This is my first post here! My husband and I will be in St. Thomas on August 22nd. Our cruise will dock from 8-5pm and I wanted to ask everyone their opinion of my idea for what we will do while we are here.

We have been to St. Thomas once before on a cruise and we went to Turtle Cove which was fun.

 

This cruise I wanted to pay a taxi driver to take us on a ride to Skyline Drive and then to Mountain Top (I have heard good things about the banana daiquiri!). Here we would take pictures and just enjoy the view. I think there might be some shops here too.

Following this, I thought the driver could bring us to Charlotte Amalie to shop.

 

What do you think?

 

1. Is Mountain Top better than Paradise Point?

2. Is there anything else we should see while here?

3. I have read that Charlotte Amalie has the best shopping. Are there any other areas we should check out?
