airlinerob Posted August 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Hi All - I'm going to be on the Carnival Victory on October 9th. I've never been to Barbados before and would like some suggestions of the best excursion to get a taste of the island. We are not really into the "beach", but would like to see some of the island, etc. Any suggestions for a good excursion for a first timer? Thanks! chasm4u Posted August 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2011 We are doing this... http://hikebarbados.com/ He does private tours! its gonna be me and my wife only. SOUNDS AWSOME! Anytime we get to see the REAL culture we bypass the commercial beach's and make beleave port malls etc and take in the real life! So much more fullfilling. :D Maybe you would like somthing like this! We will be doing it in September and will leave a review or tell you how we liked it if you like. ;)
cruiseapril Posted September 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Our first time in Barbados, we took a ship's excursion which went from Bridgetown to Bathsheba, to Andromeda Gardens, to St. John's Church, and then to Francia Plantation. We saw quite a bit of the island and walked around at all stops- so it was a good excursion. Some excursions go to Orchid World, Sunbury Plantation, or the Rum Distillery- but are similar.
