Obtaining a taxi in Marigot

I plan to take a taxi from cruise terminal in Phillipsburg to Marigot. My question is my return back to the ship. Will I have any problems obtaining a taxi to Phillipsburg? I have a fear of being stranded in Marigot and missing the ship.

Most of the time your taxi driver will ask you if you would like them to pick you up after your time there to take you back to the ship. You can arrange a time for their return.

There are also taxi's lined up there, but I would go with the first option of arranging a time with your original driver. :)

Last December I took the ferry over to Anguilla for the day. I return back to St. Martin in Marigot.

There were quite a few taxis in the area waiting for fares. I didn't want to wait to share and opt to head on back to Phillpsburg and the ship. This was at 6:00 p.m. in the evening (my ship was in port rather late).

If you are returning during rush hour, I would leave extra early. My driver told me that I missed the majority of the rush hour traffic.

I believe all taxi fares are regulated by the government and you can google the costs but I believe it is $12 from Philipsburg to Marigot based on two passengers and an extra $4 per additional person. Hope that helps!

How long does the journey from Marigot back to the cruise terminal usually take. Thanks
