Port of New Orleans

We are cruising on the Triumph from New Orleans 9-1-11. I was wondering what our options are for parking other than at the terminal. I have heard that there are some hotels that have free parking etc if you stay the night before your cruise. We have a group of 14 going in 4 vehicles. Any info is appreciated.
