Golf Packages on FO

Hi,

We were wondering if anybody had experience of the Golf Packages?

We have been on a few FO Cruises and never noticed any Golfers meetings or notices about them. Maybe we were on the wrong cruises.

We are both keen golfers and have thought that when we start doubling up on Ports of Calls we may think about the Golf Package.

More of interest really but would like to hear about any experiences.

Just think an ideal cruise... Golfing 2 or 3 days, fantastic ports of call and Dancing thro the night, interlinked by Dining and most important Dolphin Racing.........:)

Although I haven't taken this package myself I have travelled with others who have found them enjoyable. The "Flagship Golf" is explained on pages 22/23 of the Fred. Olsen brochure and the list of cruises where this is applicable is listed there.

Hope you find this an enjoyable addition to your next cruise.

Hi,

I have taken two golf packages on Caribbean cruises on Braemar and one golf package on a Baltic cruise on Braemar. I am also booked onto the golf package on our next Braemar cruise in May next year. I have thoroughly enjoyed my previous golf packages and am looking forward to the next. I consider the golf packages to be good value for money as you receive four rounds of golf on good course with the ships golf pro in attendance and up to five golf lessons. On my two Caribbean trips there were twelve golfers and on my Baltic trip there were only three of us. On the Baltic trip we had the exclusive pleasure of the pro’s company during our rounds and gained some in depth analysis of our golfing techniques. When there are enough golfers on the trip the pro will organise pairings so that everyone gets to play with everyone else. There are also small prizes for those that have accumulated most points during the cruise. The Golf Pros employed by Fred are knowledgeable and friendly but above all they organise everything so that all you have to do is turn up with your clubs at the designated disembarkation point and time and leave everything else for them to sort out. If you like playing golf and want something different to do on your cruise then I can thoroughly recommend the golf package.

Regards, Pugwash123
