Another Galveston question??? Disembarkation?

We're booked on the RCI "Rhapsody" and will fly home out of the Galveston airport on April 10th. We've heard that taxis are in short supply. Assuming that we have the earliest disembarkation time (8:30am?), what is the earliest we could safely plan on as far as getting to Scholes Airport in Galveston? Is 11 a.m. a safe time?

Just how long are the taxi waits?

I would think 11 would be good, the airport is about 20 min from the terminal.

Moody Gardens and it's hotel are out there as well. Also the Lone Star Flight Museum is a good way to spend some time if you are out there early.

You flying your own plane, or someone picking you up there?

There used to be commercial air into Galveston, but Hobby is so close no one could make it pay.
