Bigjake722003 Posted August 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2011 So I am taking my GF on her first cruise and I really want the cruise to be a good one. I have been on 3 cruises all being on a Fantasy class boat so I want to try something new. We are you and deffinately appreciate the cold drinks and not real big fans of a bunch of kids. I am planning on going in November so the kids shouldnt be as much of an issue as in the middle of summer. So mainly can anyone recommend a ship or itinerary geared for a rowdy crowd??? firefly333 Posted August 19, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2011 shorter cruises are more party cruises. Book a B2B 3/4 day cruise on a fantasy class ship, over a weekend especially if you want more people usually who want to party and make the most of the days. the longer the cruise as a rule of thumb the older the crowd. so going to a 8 day or longer is usually older crowd. gazingm42 Posted August 19, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2011 Shorty cruises normally have a younger or singles on them with no kids. But don't assume the just because its November don't assume the kids count will be low. There many schools nation wide with year round, fall breaks, week long thanks givin breaks and online and home schoolers. We cruise with our kids in the fall (oct and nov) because of their school options. We have had 400+ kids before on the Oct cruises.
ccartman2 Posted August 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2011 I agree with the back to back idea. The one longer cruise I have been on was not as much of a party crowd as the the short ones i've been on. Not saying we didn't do our fair share of partying on the 7 day cruise we took, just that the crowd was different. The other benefit of a back to back is, or it was when we did it, was when you buy alcohol on the 1st cruise, you can have it in your stateroom on the 2nd. Killed a bottle of crown that way myself. xbatt8 Posted August 19, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2011 Yup, shorter cruises. Also, during local spring breaks, very beginning of the summer, and right before school starts. The rowdiest cruise I have ever been on was in August but was a 7 day to Mexico. Disco was packed every night.... LOVED IT!!! Bob
