We use both Silversea and Seabourn and figure they are almost the same. We live 8km from Fremantle and I think maybe if the cruise isn't full its because of 2 things. Being the most isolated capitol city in the world it seems a long way away for a lot of passengers to get to. The second is that the whole leg of the cruise is in a very hot area so isn't really kind to passengers when ashore. Having said that we feel fortunate that Silversea think that Western Australia is worth visiting. Why not try it!!

We love the itinerary. Australia is such an incledible country. We are a couple in our 40s from El Salvador, CA. We are quite away from Australia. We are really excited to visit Perth and specially Exmouth and the Indonesian Islands. We picked Silversea mostly bc of the itinerary but also for being known to compete with Seabourn. We did Seabourn Spirit this year from SIN- DUBAI and were really pleased. Our only complaint was that the vessel was a little bit tired and the gym was not high enough for my hubby to walk on the treadmill machine (the ceiling was too low, and he is only 6'1) We have read that Silversea vessels have the highest space-passenger ratio of all cruise lines. All in all we are looking for itinerary, good service, good food and a wonderfull experience.

One question: Where would you suggest we stay? Perth or Fremantle? We are arriving at Perth only one day before the cruise but in the morning.

Maybe the Duxton Hotel, although we have many more brand name 5* hotels. You could walk around the city and then see Kings Park - the best view of our beautiful city. In the morning you could drop off your luggage in the Fremantle Passenger Terminal then "waltz" around Fremantle until almost sailing time. It will be a wonderful cruise but do be prepared for very hot weather. Have fun!!
