Hilton Marina vs Embassy Suites FLL

Booked Oasis in March and am torn between the Embassy Suites and Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina for 1 night pre cruise. Want to have a good view of the cruise port. I can book either one with Hilton points, but can only get standard waterway view and not tower at the Marina. How is the view from these rooms? Would it be better to go with the Embassy?

You'll need a higher floor on the south or east floor at the Embassy to see the port. If you don't have a tower room at the Hilton, then all you'll see are the yachts right there, not the cruise ships. No experience at either, but Embassy seems to get better reviews than the Marina, (especially those low rise rooms at the Marina)
