OOGIERULES Posted March 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2005 Any thoughts on a pre-cruise hotel. Was considering the Intercontinental and the Courtyard at Marriott in Isla Verde. Beach, food, pool, casino, etc. Thanks, Al
pholter Posted March 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2005 We've never stayed at either of these properties, but toured them both as well as 3 others while staying at the Ritz Carlton... We decided that if we ever went back to San Juan that we'd be staying at the Intercontinental. It got down to which hotel had the guests that seemed like they were having the most fun both indoors and outdoors- day and night...
crisp1 Posted March 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2005 The Intercontinental has great pools, a spa just off the pool area, an indoor/outdoor restuarant, and the beach. I believe that all rooms have balconies- although quite small. I have some pics on http://www.realhotelphotos.com.

Wksskier Posted April 6, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2005 We have stayed twice pre-cruise at the Intercontinental. It's a really nice hotel located right on Isla Verde beach. The hotel has a beautiful large free form pool with waterfall and swim up bar. There is also a large hot tub right next to the pool. They have several restaurants including a casual beachside restaurant. The hotel is also within walking distance of other hotels, restaurants and shops. The hotel has a nice lobby and casino as well. You can't go wrong at the Intercontinental. Carole =^..^=
