Miami-Hilton downtown or Holiday Inn at the port?

Who has been recently to any of those 2 hotels? Which one would you recommend? I think I'ld prefer the Holiday Inn because of its location, but like the Hilton as hotel better. It will be for one night after the cruise, we won't have a car.

How far is a beach away from the Holiday Inn? Public transportation?

I stayed at Holiday Inn; I belong to the hotel group and got a nice basket with stuff and a free breakfast; it is across the street from bayside marketplace with Hard Rock cafe and mall stores. Taxis are across the street and it wasn't too far from pier. Would stay there again next year
