The hotel with the slide is the wyndham/ (next door to the sheraton) on Cable beach. Day passes are $40 at the wyndham and include buffet lunch.

So if I remember correctly...you could pay, play and eat at the Wyndham and also use the Sheraton facilities??

That's true most of the time. During spring break, security tries to keep the two properties seperate. (they don't allow loud partying at the sheraton, or anything that would disturb their paying guests).

Hmmm decisions decisions! ONE more question..we opt not to have the buffet are there any local food places in the vicinity of the Sheraton? Someone mentioned McDonalds but ummmmm no thanks:D

The sheraton itself has a nice out door grill and indoor cafes. Other than that.. it's a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest spot.. but I must add, now that they are doing construction in the street and general area (they are renovating and building baha mar for the next 2 years)... the area in front is a construction zone, so I wouldn't recommend trying to navigate thru it.

This does NOT impact the beach and pools.

We were just there on Sunday! We took the Jitney - it was so fast and easy and we were at the Sheraton in less than 15 min. The driver stopped right in front of the hotel for us. We paid $25 each and got a bracelet and then went out to the pool to pick up towels. We spent most of our time on the beach or at the pool. We enjoyed the pool swim up bar, music and everyone was very friendly. We counted only about 15 people in total between the pool and beach - very empty which was great. We walked over to the Wyndam. While it was nice, we were very glad we made the decision for the Sheraton. The beach was much nicer and we really didn't need to eat the buffet. We didn't eat at the Sheraton either but from what we saw the outdoor restaurant looked nice. We spent about 5 hours there, and caught the Jitney back to the port. We only had to wait about 5 min. to return, flagging him down right in front of the hotel again. We returned back in time to do some souvenir shopping and laughing at people coming out of Sr. Frogs. We had a great and easy day!!

Oh - wanted to add in case anyone is interested: They had a Hippo Slide on the beach - just like the one on Great Stirrup Cay. They sold 1/2 day or full day slide passes.

Do you remember how much extra the slide was? Also, can someone tell me what "non-motorized water sports" are currently available? We will be there in 3 weeks and I think the kids would enjoy it more if there were activities and not just a beach and pool. We will be at half moon cay the day before so will have plenty of beach time then. Thanks!

I wish I remembered how much it was. We read the sign and saw the two prices (1/2 day - full day) but I'm just not sure exactly what it was. It was something like $14.99 half day and $29.99 full day - but that's kind of a guess.....I just don't remember exactly - maybe it was $24.99? Sorry. Maybe someone else can help out with prices.

Great Info! I am considering taking the DD to use the Day Pass at the Sheraton. Do they have a shower/changing room that can be used with the Day Pass? Also, if we decide to get the Wyndham Day Pass....do we need to check in at the Sheraton front desk to use their pool area or visa versa? Just not sure how this Day Pass works to be able to visit/use both hotel pools?

Neither hotels is set up for day passes, so there is no shower/changing room set up. But there are bathrooms that are used for changing.

As for using both properties.. it's not really their policy to allow this. People just do it.

If you buy a pass at the Wyndham, you are not stopped from going to the sheraton and vise versa, but you could be stopped from using thier water toys etc. if someone notices your wristband.

Basically, security is just not stopping people .. since there is really no line that marks where you cross from one to the other.

During spring break, this changes. Sheraton does NOT allow guests of the wynhdam to cross over. They try and control the "party" atmosphere and keep the place relaxed for their paying guests.

We chose to go to the Hilton as opposed to the Sheraton. We had a wonderful experience there. The fee, as has been mentioned, was $55 which included a $30 voucher towards food and/or drinks.

We walked up to the front desk without reservations and purchased the passes. It took probably 15-20 minutes to get 5 of us set up. After, we walked out the back and straight towards the beach. We were stopped at the towel hut and were traded towels for our beach vouchers. Behind us walked up the person in charge of our food/beverages. He introduced himself, took our other voucher & explained the process. He then escorted us to the beach and got us all settled in. He told us to either come to the bar located just behind us or yell or whistle when we were ready for something to eat drink, or if we needed anything. He then called down another employee and introduced him to us as well. They periodically checked on us. Throughout the day one or both would occasionally walk down and sometimes one of us would walk up there. We were very well taken care of. At one point one of the guys even delivered a tray of drinks to the ladies in the ocean. He didn't get in of course, but he did hand one of my friends the tray and let her take it in the water.

When we each hit our $30 mark he brought the checks out & let us know that we had spent our allotted amount. Of course we were welcomed to keep eating and/or drinking, he just wanted to keep us updated of our tally. I appreciated that, it showed that they were not trying to take advantage of the situation.

We were pleased that there were no kids and very few people on the beach with us. I'm sure partly because of the storm that had just passed through.

It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it.

Thanks for the info. I am in Nassau next week for a girls weekend and this is what we plan to do. It sounds perfect for us. I can't wait to see it for myself. :D

We are arriving in Nassua the week of Thanksgiving with our 5 yr old. Will the inflatable items still be in the water that time of year?

There's no telling what they will be doing. This is the first season they had the inflatables. They will likely keep them up until the weather changes.

Could be next week or January.. no telling at this point.

Scuba Girl, do you know if the sheraton still has the day rooms you can rent. We rented one a few years back for six of us and it worked out great!!

Thanks!

Big Al

Day rooms are available based on capacity ( they are unsold rooms during low season).

Depending on when you are going, they should be available.

You can book them in advance as well.

The base price of $99 is for 2 ppl, with a max of 4 to a room. ($18? for ea. add'l person in the room.) Then you would have to pay for 2 add'l passes at $25 as well.
