Where do I Start?

Had a great time!......

First the Negative:

My only complaints are petty.Juice fountains would close after 8 pm,shower courtains too short,took us a couple of days to get use to the shaking while in bed kept us from getting a full night sleep,by the thrid night it was not a problem as we got use to it we had a Balcony on deck 7.Lost $ in the casino.

and on sunday night the steak sucked,it felt like a piece of rubber.DO NOT order the sunday Dinner steak!:eek: out of many contacts with crew only a couple seem rude.then one noticed us upset and asked to be excused.

I must say the house drinks are of poor quality.

 

The positives:

Embarkation was excellent,always found chairs available,the hot tubs were hot!.and available on deck 9 and in the gym.

The food was excellent at dinner and the buffets always fresh and hot,The variety of cold meats was awesome the best italian cuts,pizza avaliable till like 2 am the midnight buffets were a feast of ice sculpters desserts,fruits etc.

had room service every morning with free expresso and cappucino always in my room with in 10 minutes after i order ,Odinah my room steward was great kept my ice bucket full. always a smile and a good morning,Ship is elegant plenty of private areas to relax,the shows are ok,we did sneak two bottles one of crown royal and one of captain morgan,and still manage to spend over 600 on the costa card including drinks, gifts, photos etc.

Our waiter was awesome it was no problem getting doubles when asked.Like Lobster night Friday!. and when I tried new things and they turned out to be less apetizing he would provide another plate even though i missed early dinner on satuday night I went to my waiter and slipped him a extra $50.00 and a thank-you card.

The port of calls were great we got lucky on Sanjuan there was a medical emergency and we docked at 12 instead of 4 pm.:cool: .gave us time to see the san cristobal morro and mingle with the natives,very warm hearted people

Our taxi driver even serenated my mother as we got off at the dock.:rolleyes: I did meet a character on the park he was asking for a dollar while his hands tremble,after a Firm Sorry no comprendo.he went on to someone else,there was police officers around the park directing taxis felt safe all the time.

 

Had a good time in all the ports,in La Romana we did the Kandela show AWESOME!.A must see best show of the cruise,It's in the casa de campo complex it reminded me if the disney theme parks,I must mention i bought a expresso at this resort and was given a counterfit 10 dollar bill,as my wife tried to use it at another store they told us it was fake so i went back and with a quick, sorry senor they exchange the bill.;-)

 

The Atlantica will go to europe for a major overhaul in about 30 days and the magica will be doing the caribbean next season!

 

Can't wait for my next vacation to cruise on costa again!:D we loved it had the times of our lives!.
