Upgrade/room code question

I noticed my cruise went down $100 so I called Priceline to see if I could get an OBC or something. I was a guarenteed balcony to start. So the lady at priceline put me on hold and called Carnival.

 

When she came back she said they had me slotted for a 8J but could upgrade me to a 8K.

 

This is my second criuse so to me this is greek. Can anyone tell me if it is worth making the switch?

what category price are you comparing?

 

what cabin does YOUR online documents tell you that you have?

 

 

If you booked a guarantee- and that is the price you are comparing it to

if you take the 100.00 you are now put back on the list for guarantee and lose your placement.

You could wind up with a obstructed balcony.

 

Check yur documents- if your agent says you are in a 8J or 8K shouldnt it show up there?

I booked a Guar Balcony. The price is less than what i paid by $100. My cruise is so soon that i cannot get the $100 as OBC. They said they could upgrade me to a 8K. She said that I was on the list for a 8J.

On my cruise details page it says I am in room 6224. It is listed as a 8J. The lady at Priceline said they could put me at a 8K on the 7th Verandah deck. Is there really any difference? They are both extended views.

 

I knew I didn't want the 8th deck as it is right under the Lido deck.

For now. 6224 is Good. Extended balcony. No across the hall neighbor.

 

Moving up a deck will be the same area puts you closer to food/pools but you take the change of having neighbors across the hall

Guarantees will not get OBC only early saver rates.

 

Take the 8K you won't regret it.
