Superbowl Cruise on Oasis

We will be on the January 28 Oasis cruise.With the Superbowl being on the 29th,when will formal night be?I don't think they would have formal night when the Superbowl is on.Any Ideas?

I sailed on Liberty last year during the SuperBowl. SuperBowl night was also Formal night but the captain changed it to a different night so we didn't have to watch the game in our formal gowns. :D

Last year on Serenade, formal night was on Super Bowl Sunday. Lots of jerseys in the dining room that night anyway.

I think you'll be okay since you should be home in your living room for Superbowl 2012 on February 5th :)

**edit** I just reread your post... and your dates are off on either the cruise or the superbowl. Seeing as how I'm on the Oasis cruise with the superbowl and we set sail on the 4th. :)

 

I asked the same question in our roll call for the ship... come join us if you haven't already!! Fiance is a huge Steelers fan and it's also my birthday so I was going to be bummed out if we missed the first formal night to a game. :) Others have stated there as well as here that the nights usually get changed to 2nd and 3rd night instead of 1st and 2nd. It just wouldn't make sense to have it the same night as the Superbowl since so many people will be wanting to watch it and wear jerseys during the same hours as dinner service. We were on Carnival this year during the Superbowl but it was on the same night we set sail.
