hancogran Posted September 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2011 adventure. 8:30 pm When we sailed Adventure, we checked in and boarded around noon hour, had lunch on board, left our carry-on luggage in the cabin, then headed back out to enjoy Old San Juan for the afternoon! If you decide to leave the ship after checking in, I would imagine you'd have to be back on the ship by 7:30 pm or so. Have fun.. Adventure is one of our favourite ships!:D
TOlson70 Posted September 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2011 We sailed the Adventure in February out of San Juan, great ship, you are going to enjoy it. We were checked in and on board by noon, room was ready right at 1:30PM. The all aboard for that sailing as posted was 5:30PM, so keep an eye on that if you do check in and go into Old San Juan. Host Faith Posted September 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 9, 2011 what's the skinny on boarding? earliest time? how difficult? We like to leave our hotel around 11 or so to get to the dock. We hand the porters our luggage and tip them $1 per bag. Normally after about a 20 minute wait, we're able to check in. Very easy process in San Juan, and even nicer if you get there early to become familiar with the ship before the other guests arrive. We don't like to get off the ship once we've checked in on the first day. If you can, get to San Juan a day or two early so you can explore the city (lots of great things to see), and then have the chance to enjoy the ship, crowd-free, on embarkation day.
