azcacruzin Posted September 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Any suggestions on the best way to get to the Port of Miami from a hotel close to the Miami Airport. 13 of us are traveling together. Thank you.
Sauer-kraut Posted September 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2011 We had 16 people and just got 4 cabs from the Embassy Suites Airport Hotel. Cab fare was about $25 plus tip, that's less than $10 a head if you look at it that way.
bandlmom Posted September 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2011 a few years ago, they had set rates for the cabs that were fairly reasonable....and it was convenient. try this site: http://www.miami-airport.com/hotel_shuttles.asp
B and C Blake Posted September 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2011 We stayed at La Quinta Airport East last week. They offer free MIA and POM shuttles along with free breakfast. Also, for a minimal fee they offer POM to MIA shuttle as well. The hotel was avg for a one night stay. Using our AAA card for discount we paid under $90 for 2 people however there were 2 full beds in the room making it a 4 person room. I do not recommend the restaurant within walking distance. Bennigan's Instead I do recommend ordering from local places that deliver. Menu's are available at the front desk.
serene56 Posted September 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2011 there are plenty of hotels that offer free shuttles to the port. BUT some times the free shuttles get you there closer to noon instead of 10:30-11am
