In port 8am - 4 pm - need suggestions...

We are crusing on the Epic over Christmas week and are looking into various activities. Would love to do Sunny Listons - Shopping, Sightseeing and Beach tour but our ship leaves too early.

 

Would it be possible to just do the sightseeing tour with Sunny's and then make our own way to a beach and catch a little shopping on the way back to the ship?

 

Is it easy to get around St. Thomas on your own or should we just go with another excursion options to keep things simple?
