NOLA Pier Transportation

Just wondering how easy/difficult it is to get a taxi from the pier to the airport after the cruise?

 

Anyone have any experience or recommendations?

Should be plenty of cabs waiting to take folks to the airport lined up at the terminal.

There were lots and lots of taxis and limos waiting around when we left Mid-August!:D

Are the limos already booked or can the limo's be hired as you get off the ship. We are a party of 5 and will probably have 10 pieces of luggage. I am worried we will not be able to fit into 1 taxi. It would be so much easier if we are able to take a limo without waiting as we exit the building. Last time we booked a limo in advance for pickup after the cruise, we ended up waiting more than 30 minutes for the limo to arrive.

I googled new orleans limos and found tons to choose from. I was looking for a tour of the French Quarter. Cheapest qoute I got so far was $75.00 a hour. Some are higher like 85.00 per hour.
