I haven't toured with Royston yet and have been in email contact with him (as recently as last week) about our tour in February and have received no weird emails, everything has been very professional. Sounds like somebody hacked his email to me...

Luni-solar calendar (LSC) is based on each lunation or month, beginning at dawn following the moon's conjunction with the sun. The first day of each month is called New Moon Day and is observed by abstaining from common labor and in worshipful consecration of oneself to Yahuwah, the Creator. Each month consists of either 29 or 30 days. In the 30 day months, the last Sabbath is followed bytranslation day, then New Moon Day, both of which are not counted as part of any week. Four complete weeks of seven days follows: six days of work, then the Sabbath which always occurs on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of the LSC months.

I was able to book with Royston. I guess this means he will be working on that day as it does not fall on New Moon Day or any of the Sabbath days that occur every 7th day after New Moon Day. If you attempted to book him on a day of a new moon or any week of the new moon, he will not be working. This is my interpretation of his responses.

Given your explanation I checked to see what phase of the moon March 17th is. It is a full moon so I am not sure that the explanation hold.

I have emailed Royston again and will see what happens.

Thank you for rejecting my theory for an explanation. I agree that these responses are strange. I hope you get a better explanation or are able to go on his tour.

I was just with Thenford on 1/14 while on the Celebrity Equinox. I would only use him in St. Kitts. We toured with him in 1/12 and I had arranged a group of 40 for his St. Kitts tour. He was wonderful then so I contacted him to arrange a private tour for DH and I of Nevis from St. Kitts a few months in advance of our visit. He remembered me well. We arranged to meet Thenford at 7:30 AM (our ship docked at 7) to catch the 8AM ferry to Nevis (had to be back onboard at 2:30 for a 3PM departure from St. Kitts). Well, right before disembarking at 7:15AM we were stopped at the gangway to wait for a RCL ship to dock (safety reasons). We waited till 7:50AM before we were cleared to go ashore. We figured we would miss the ferry and the next one was not until 9:30AM which would mean less than 3 hours on Nevis. We were very upset. Thenford was waiting for us, explained that the 8AM ferry did not run that day but drove us to the ferry terminal 4 blocks away where he arranged for us to get on a commercial ferry departing for Nevis at 8:30AM. He bought the tickets, contacted the guide on Nevis, arranged for his colleague to escort us on the ferry and told us he would be waiting for us upon our return from Nevis at 1:45PM. We arrived on Nevis at 9:10AM and our wonderful guide was waiting for us. Thenford called to be sure we arrived safely. At the end of the tour she bought our ferry tickets for the return and escorted us onto the ferry then called Thenford to tell him we were on the way. Sure enough, when we arrived back at the ferry terminal on St. Kitts, Thenford was waiting for us and drove us back to the ship. He had left his group on the beach to do this and returned to them once we were back at the pier. This time we paid him in advance since he needed us to deliver funds to the Nevis guide but I had no hesitation paying for this in advance since I knew and trusted him. He did not disappoint and is truly a professional, honorable and lovely man. I recommend him highly. I hope this helps anyone that may be unsure of what to do or whom to tour with in St. Kitts to make an informed decision.

When I was in St. Kitts in July, I wanted to tour Nevis with Beulah; she needed 6 ppl and wouldn't do it (I was solo). Royston didn't do it. I wish I had known Thenford provided the same tour. Now I know.

Thenford Tours sounds like the right fit for our group of 4. Now the BIG question is TO TOUR OR NOT TO TOUR.

Maybe we should just use this day as a total relaxing beach day. That also sounds good. We have never been to St. Kitts so seeing some of the island sounded good too. With a beach drop off at the end of the tour, it sounds like we would be pressured for time on the beach and have to hurry back to the ship.

After further research, March 17th or every full moon is the 15th day, which is a day of Sabbath. Therefore, Royston will not be working that day.

Looks like you are correct - Received another email from Royston stating

"its not a good day for me. I had some dreams from god that led me to using the old biblical lunisolar calendar for the sabbath day and it falls on that day so I don't want to work.

Jesus also told me he is coming soon and to tell people. so hope to see you in heaven."

So I booked with Thenford.
