Time zone in Cozumel?

So... we are going to Nachi Cocom for our Cozumel excursion. So, it is not through the cruise ship- thus are are on our "own time". What is the time zone in Cozumel? Do the employees at Nachi help in ensuring you are back to the ship on time?

I am worried we will have no idea what time it is and miss the ship somehow

Coz is on Central Daylight Time at present. DST ends October 30th. In the US DST ends November 6th.

Nachi Cocum employees may or may not know when your ship leaves. They close at 5PM Coz time anyway. Ship's time depends on port of departure. If you leave from a Florida port, you will be on Eastern DST. If you leave from Mobile, NOLA, or Galveston you will be on Central DST, same as Coz. Best bet is to keep watch on ship time and use that. DO NOT depend on locals or your cell phone to tell you the correct(ship's) time.

Perfect! Thanks! We live in Florida, but are leaving from NOLA. Where we live in Florida is Central time also... so cool- no time changes for us :D

chicy724, I had the same issue. I googled the port authority in Coz. Their calendar has us in port 9-6. Our ship has us in port 8-5. That is how I keeping up with the time difference, checking each port authority site when I can find one.
