Long Beach Marathon

Just found out that the marathon is the same day we are leaving on the Splendor. My sister will be dropping us off at the ship (coming from Mission Viejo) and on the map for the course it goes to the Queen Mary (the first part of the marathon).

Any suggesstions on the time to be dropped off so that we don't have to get into the congestion of the marathon?

Thanks.

OMgosh we got trapped in that. They block off the streets, making them 1 way. I think we arrived about 11am and it was a zoo most of the day.

Personally, we will be staying and parking at the Hotel Maya in the future. They have a shuttle to the ship.

In another post, some one was wondering why they were having such a hard time getting a hotel in downtown. Hotel Maya was SOLD out.

Hilton still had some Carnival rates available that weekend.
