My wife and I are 53, after reading this thread, I might book Carnival. Of course, we'll be in bed by 11, is that allowed?:cool:

OP asks for a comparison of X to Carnival - so posters start chiming, "No, no... RCCL!"

 

I think kids like the same things adults do. So since the adults pay - why not please yourself? Your kids probably share a lot of your deep down sensibilities, even if in the teen years these things often manifest themselves disagreeably. After all, when you're a teen, your parents are idiots! Right? Then you become your parents - or work the rest of your life not - typically with limited success...

 

Anyway... Celeb is elegant, stylish, and 'upscale'. Carnival is vibrant, eye-catching, and casually inclined. Celeb trys to project a 'Ritz' style experience, Carnival trys to project a 'Bellagio' type experience. Both are hotels on hulls that offer teen clubs with disco parties, etc. Ultimately, big ship lines are more similar than dissimilar... IMHO. What style would you-they be more comfortable going with?

 

P.S. Just noted OP's decision - have Fun - they do call them 'The Fun Ships' with cool lounges and dynamic show entertainment
