Greek Taxi Advice

Just back from Greece. We learned that all Greek Taxi's belong to the Taxi Union in Greece. Unless the driver rents a vehicle on strike days, your taxi driver will not be available. Strikes will happen without notice.

I suggest you find other cruisers on your ship to share your driver on private tours and or airport transfers. Taxi Drivers can rent a van or bus and still drive you during a strike.

We used Lefteris in Crete, Andreas Stamos in Katakolon, and Nikos Loukas in Athens with no problems.
