Lawries Posted September 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2011 My wife and I are planning our 2012 cruise on Azamara. We're thinking of a Dec cruise that would involve spending Christmas in either Buenos Aires or Punta del Este Uraguay. This is not a problem for us, but just wondering what the cities will be like. Will everything be shut down like in North America? TIA, Lawrie
ab0si Posted September 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2011 You will find most of B.A.s elite in Punta del Este. B.A. at that time. Most places are shut down bt late afternoon on the 24th and stay closed on the 25th. Since Roman Catholicism is still taken seriously by a large percentage of the population (it is 2nd only to football as a religion down there), the churches are packed.
