lunchmomd Posted October 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I haven't cruised NCL since January, they have changed their smoking policy since then, I am not sure. There were 2 non=smoking nights in the casino the last time I sailed with them. Was not really a distraction for smokers as the casino was on an open air deck and only a few steps away to have a smoke. I don't have aproblem walking away from a table for 5 minutes to have a smoke. The bar in the casino which was supposed to be non-smoking did have ashtrays available thru-out the cruise. Don't know if they use positive airflow to keep smoke out of gambling area. I will find out this January as I am sailing the Star out of Tampa. MNallan Posted October 7, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2011 When I was on the Jewel in February the casino was a smoking casino. It was the only place inside the ship you were allowed to smoke (Besides your cabin). I have read that as of Jan 2012 there will be no smoking in cabins but will be ok to smoke on balconies. Hope this helps.
LaCal Posted October 29, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2011 I'd Hop on the FREE NCL Cruise Promo....We Got one Last Year from Harrahs/NCL and went to Mexico...All we had to pay was the Taxes, Port Fees and an Upgrade charge to a Balcony but it was Well Worth it... Plus they gave us the Free Drink Card which I'm sure you'll get as well.....It Saved us Approx $500 for the 2 of us by Weeks End....WE LIKE OUR DRINKS!!:) Plus DW hit a $4,000 Jackpot on Video Poker.....:D It was our First NCL Cruise and We just booked another on the Pearl for next May to Alaska....... The Casino was Smoking and I think there was One Non-Smoking Day....Were both Smokers but it didnt seem like the Casino was filled with smoke and if I noticed someone at our table seemed to be put off by smoke, We would step away and smoke.....
