Changing name on boarding pass-

Briarhill

Recommended Posts

There was some discussion the other day about Carnival charging someone $50.00 for changing their name on boarding documents, because they don't match their passport or other ID. Well I read that, and since my boarding documents said Tom and my passport says Thomas, I thought I might be in trouble.

So I called the 800 number, and there was a very sweet young lady who told me that yes indeed I would have trouble boarding if the names did not match. She was VERY polite and helpful, and there WAS NOT a charge, and now the names match.

Ok, so in light of all the posting on this subject I called the 800 Carnival number. I explained the Jeff vs. Jeffrey issue and they gave me an Immigration phone number.

Ahhhh, no thanks.

I then called our TA and she called Carnival. They changed it instantly to match my passport. No big deal and no charge.

I printed out a new, politically correct boarding pass.

No shoes, no shirt, no boarding problem!
