Hand held steamers? $ for Laundry?

Is Carnival allowing hand-held steamers back on board yet? I am just curious if people were getting them onboard since fans are making it thru. I understand Carnival's rules so I am not trying to break them... only hoping for others traveling with us! Luckily for me, being my platinum cruise, I can always send mine to the laundry. Also, is there a place that I can find the 'laundry rules'? What their expenses are per item/bag? Thanks in advance.

Sorry... I guess it does sound silly the way I worded it. :) I was curious for our friends who will travel with us. They are wanting to have things cleaned by the end of the cruise (and dress clothes pressed during) and were wondering the prices? They were also hoping that hand-held steamer's were now ok to bring on board for their everyday clothes. Downy releaser works alright but not the best.

Steamers are not allowed. I have taken 1 in the past, but never used it.

got off inspiration on Monday and ours got confiscated out of luggage. We had taken it on several times before without any problem

FYI... Platinum benefits get you laundry. That is just wash and fold, NOT pressing.

 

The steamers must be hit and miss. We took one in July with no problem. Did not use it, but we had it.

They took my steamer and I never got it back last October. It was for my Suits onboard. I should have listened to people on the boards about it, it was a $200 mistake I will not make again.

I believe alot of times there are laundry specials advertised in that day's FunTimes where you can fill a bag with all of your clothes and it will be one price (whatever that may be)...but here is the official list. HTH :)

Self-Service Launderettes:

Each ship has at least 2 self-service launderettes located on the stateroom decks.

There are two or three washers and dryers, and one iron and ironing board in each launderette. The cost is $3.00 per washer load and $3.00 per dryer load. Vending machines dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener at $1.00 per box.

Note: Due to local environmental requirements, the washing machines in the guest' launderette will be closed in port, per each ports specific requirements; the dryers and irons will be available for guest use.

Problem for me was I would not trust one of my suits to Carnival to clean.
