pipergrl Posted October 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2011 We have 3 oceanview cabins on this deck, it's right below the galley and I'm wondering if it will be noisy. We are all first time cruisers, so I really don't know what to expect in regards to noise in the cabins. Thanks

Thanks right smack dab in the middle of that galley= could get some noise Rolling carts, dropped pans. (galley runs 24/7) Being first time cruisers- it really is not important that your cabins all be next to each other. Its not like you are going to be able to hang out with each other inside the cabin space. Might I suggest to move back to the purple cabins (on the deck plans) which are cat 6B. It puts you under the dining room which is carpeted so no noise. It puts you closer to the elevators/stairs which puts you closer tot he food/pools without the traveling. or move down to the Riveria deck. Kingisacruiser Posted October 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2011 I was under the galley on the Liberty in July. I had 2 connecting Oceanview cabins and I heard no noise at all. I actually forgot I was under the galley and would not have known had I not looked it up prior to cruising.
serene56 Posted October 18, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2011 where exactly was your cabin? the galley is a huge place. cabins located below the entrances or exit will get very little noise. If the cabin was right there smack in the middle it will be different.
pipergrl Posted October 19, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Thanks Everyone, our cabins are on the outside wall, I was a little worried since I was the organizer of the trip that I would get the blame for picking such noisy cabins.. :p I'm sure that if there was any noise from kitchen, it still will not drown out the snoring from my darling mother. :D.. we are all excited to be going on our first cruise, thanks for your input!
