Several years ago, if you contacted Carnival after a cruise with feedback (either positive or negative,) you sometimes got a response thanking you for your feedback and offering you a Bon Voyage gift if you contacted customer service 21 days before your next Carnival cruise.

I've never heard of a 21 day letter. There used to be a 45 day letter though but it a thing of the past.

I still have one. We got it in 2009 and misplaced it. About a month ago we were going through some old paperwork and found it. Called the number and told them we were booked on a cruise in November and one in February. They said no problem to call about 30 days ahead of the cruise we wanted to use it on and they would take care of it. Used one back in 08 and got a basket of fruit and bottle of wine.
