Radiance Class - Promenade Deck?

Recommended Posts

All,

I am sailing the JOS this coming Sept...first cruise with RCCL...

Do the Radiance class have wrap around promenades??

Doesn't look it but I thought I would ask....

Are lounge chairs available on the promenade during days at sea??

Thanks!

There is the promenade (deck 5)that wraps around the ship and you can walk it in a full circle. But in the fromt you can´t walk on the same level. You have to go one deck up cross the heli pad (deck 6) and walk down again on the other side. So on the same deck you can walk either side and around from one side to the other in the back of the ship.

Note, the Helipad can be closed from time to time during weather or of course if it´s in operation. In this case you can´t walk a full circle.

Yes there have been lounge chairs on the promenade.

I was on the Radiance last year and there was a wrap around promenade deck. Just have to step up one level in the front of the ship but that was no problem. I also think there were lounge chairs to sit. Very beautiful ship and we are going on here sister ship the Jewel next February.

There is no INSIDE Promenade with the bars, shops, cafe, parades, etc. on the Radiance class ships.

I think you are talking abou the Royal promenade on the Voyager class ships.

I think the OP speaks about the promenade deck as he/she was asking for a wrap around promenade.

I know the Voyager class has a Promenade, but it's not a Promenade Deck in the classic cruise ship sense. My meaning was a "classic" Promenade Deck....open air, close to the water line, teak (or "teak" like) decking, lounge chairs, etc. Like you find on HAL's "Dam" ships.....and many others.

From the replies, looks like the JOS has one.

Thanks all.
