What if you have to cancel at the last minute?

Oh my -- My dh may not be able to go on upcoming cruise (3-1/2 weeks from now) because of difficulties at workplace; is my ONLY option to find someone else to go with me? I called NCL and they told me that one of us from original reservation MUST go -- in other words, I can't give this cruise to another couple. Bought trip insurance, but nothing about work is covered unless someone loses their job -- not true in our case. Any suggestions? Is this info from NCL reliable (that I must go, or forfeit whole cruise)?

We missed out Venice/Greek Island cruise in 4/10 and we lost quite a bit of money, even with travel insurance. Go if you can.

It's very reliable information. If hubby can't go, bring a friend! I have sailed with a few friends when hubby couldn't make it, we had a great time.

Insurance rider "cancel for any reason" might have covered this.

 

One of you at least go, its paid for and then you'd only be losing out on one fare. Otherwise you are out the whole sum. :(

And if a friend can't go with this little notice, go by yourself! I think you'll be surprised how much you enjoy it! My first solo cruise happened somewhat accidentally. I enjoyed it so much, I now plan solo cruises.
