nanasoxfan Posted October 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2011 Has anyone stayed in a lanai stateroom on the Veendam? Is it very noisy? I sort of like the idea of opening to the lower promendade, but am leery abot privacy.
rimau Posted October 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2011 I was wondering about these rooms. What ships are they on? I thought they were going to be put on the Ryndam but it does not look like there are any.
catl331 Posted October 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2011 We just came back from the Veendam but did not have a Lanai. We did have Oceanview on that promenade though. Not noisy and very private. The windows are coated so people can't see in and even during the night with a light on they would have to press their faces to the window. The stewards would close the curtains anyway and we brought clothespins along to make a tighter closure as the light stay on at night. I saw the lanai passengers use their teak lounges often. The only problem I could see was that those doors to the promenade were heavy but I guess they need to be. They slide open. You would enjoy the rooms and the location. catl331 Posted October 18, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2011 What ships are they on?Right now they are on the Maasdam, Veendam, and Rotterdam. I'm not sure about the plans for the Ryndam or Statendam.
