What do you do with carry-on bags after boarding ship but before getting access to stateroom?.

All ships store carry on bags until your room is ready, it will vary from ship to ship so ask as your boarding the ship .

we just keep our carry-ons with us.

Our carry on is a roll aboard. Part of the reason for a carryon is that we never want to part with it.

 

We just wheel it to the Main Dining Room and have a nice quiet lunch, then go to the room.

Most have a carry on because it contains the things they don't want to lose control of. When you leave it after you board, it goes into an area that everyone else has access to also. I would never leave my "stuff" unattended. We carry it around the ship with us until the rooms are ready. Our experience is most times the rooms are not ready until about 2, rarely before 1:30. If your a late boarder, your room will probably be ready when you board.
